I just got this remote control a couple of weeks back, and so far I am pretty satisfied with it. The shipment was prompt and it arrived even faster than some of the Amazon's own products. I am using it with Canon EOS Digital Rebel XSi. I chose it over some alternative products due to its compact size which comes in handy when lugging around a whole bunch of camera add-ons. I am also extremely happy with the incredibly competitive price. I only have a couple of problems with it:

1. The user-instruction sheet is not very written and its not entirely clear on a couple of crucial steps in the setup. It would have been more useful to have something that explains the setup in some detail with each one of the Canon products for which it's meant to be used.

2. The range of the remote is rather limited. I have not measured it exactly, but it seems that it doesn't work beyond 15 feet away.

5.0 out of 5 stars Works with the Canon EOS Rebel T3i, March 3, 2011

I purchased this item in advance for when I received my Canon T3i. It works great, but I have only used it for movie mode at this time. If your in movie mode, hitting the "s" button will take a picture, and the "2s" button will start and stop your video. This is a must have for anyone recording video of themselves for youtube and they do not have a second person behind the camera to operate it.

3.0 out of 5 stars Doesn't work with a Rebel T3, November 6, 2011

The Canon Rebel T3 doesn't have an IR sensor. It's a feature reserved for the more expensive T3i model. This remote does nothing for a T3, unfortunately.

I can only blame myself for not actually Googling it beforehand, but the other reviewer claiming it works for the T3 model must have meant "T3i" instead.

As far as the quality of the item goes, it's a cheap-looking thing, but it seems to work just fine (can see the IR beams through Live View on the camera).

Wish I could contribute more to the review of the product, but the only thing I can add is: T3 owners, we're stuck with wired remotes only.
